This webpage was launched to support the soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, the Mercian Regiment (Worcesters and Foresters) out in Afghanistan during 2007.

We appealed for family and friends of the troops to write messages of support to their loved ones - and the soldiers to write theirs. The response was astounding and we hope to do the same again when the Woofers return to Afghanistan in 2009.

Just wanted to say that I am so glad everyone is finally home. It is such a relief for all us mums that our boys are back home now. It's all over now, well until next time. I feel for the mums of the men that unfortunately lost their lives and those whose boys have been injured.
